How To Maintain A Perfect Instagram Feed

Maintaining an Instagram feed is exhausting, time-consuming and sometimes it makes you want to quit social media and go live under a rock. From finding the perfect theme to transitioning to a new one, it can be a tough job. These are the best tips to up your Instagram game.
Creating Your Theme
For those of you who don't know it, an Instagram theme is the way the colour and photography style of your pictures match with each other, think of it as a museum.
Find inspiration online, think about what you like, what your Instagram is for and what you want to post. Finding a suitable colour palette is key, all your pictures must have similar colours and shades, for this, try shooting similar things or with similar backgrounds, you can also achieve this by editing your pictures similarly and using the same filter, my preferred editing tool is VSCO.
Post Regularly
The best way to gain more exposure is to post often, you don't want to swarm your followers feed with your pictures but you don't want them to forget about you either.
But you have to be extremely careful, never, ever, ever choose quantity over quality; your work is worthless if you keep posting bad pictures, post as much as you can as long as they are good quality pictures.
Plan Ahead
In order to have a good theme, you must plan what your pictures will look like together. Before posting, think how the picture fits with your other pictures, visualise how it will look like with other pictures around it; I usually do this on the VSCO app, it displays your pictures alongside each other, other people create private Instagram accounts where they post the picture beforehand to get an idea of what it will look like.
Get a Business Profile
If you're an Instagramer on the rise, you might want to consider switching to a business, profile, this is a great way of getting insight into your audience, this informs you about the gender, age, location and active times of your followers apart from number of impressions, interactions and what posts your followers like the most.

Get Moving
This is probably the most important one and is one that I often struggle with. You have to take you camera and get out there, go to trendy places, nice restaurants, go for a walk, take advantage of the good weather (or the bad one), you don't need to get on top of the highest mountain; a good picture can be just around the corner, get lost, with your friends or alone, just take pictures, capture the moment, this isn't just for your Instagram, it is also for you, you never know when you're creating a memory.
