The trenchcoat is a raincoat made of heavy-duty cotton gabrdine drill, leather or poplin. It comes in various lengths and colours.

3. The Leather Jacket

Spend as much money on a black leather jacket, I assure you the investment will be totally worth it. You can wear it any season and it will only get better with time.

One of my favourite things about the leather jacket is that it is usually black and black goes with everything. They are also a quite durable and longlasting piece.

4. Crewneck Sweater

This lightweight knit is the best option during the more brisk months of fall and spring.

It is quite a versatile piece as you can layer it over a collar shirt for the office or wear it with boyfriend jeans for something more casual, you can also buy one in any colour or print to wear whenever you want.

The first crewneck sweatshirt was invented in 1920 by Benjamin Russell Jr., a football player for the University of Alabama. Tired of the itchy wool jerseys he and his teammates had to wear he created a cooler more confortable cotton design.

The small triangle around the collar, a signature design detail of those simple crewnecks, wasn’t all for show though, it was a utilitarian feature that reinforced the collar by overlapping an additional layer of webbing material. The added support kept the collar from stretching out, even after years of wear.

5. The Turtleneck

The turtleneck dates back to the 15th century, over the centuries, this piece has become a stylist high collar fold that hugs the neck. It is perfect for the colder seasons as it keeps chest and the neck warm.
Turtlenecks have acted as substitutes of the classic shirt and tie look causing controversy.

Black pumps are the most reliable and versatile option when it comes to shoes, they are perfect for any outfit or ocasion.
Without the need of laces or fastening, the foot can easily slip into these varying heights of fashion. A wrap dress is a dress with a front closure formed by wrapping one of the sides over the other. The best part of DVF's wrap is that it will never look dated. Simple yet versatile, the wrap dress can be made in any colour or print at any length.
Watch out for faux wrap dresses as they do not have an oppening in the front.

9. Khaki

Khaki is often used in military uniforms. It is an easy wearable colour.
It acts as a blank canvas that can be worn head-to-toe, with other shades of green, against strong bright pops of colour or more classically with neutral tones. Khaki is also trans-seasonal so it will work all year round and you can wear it in your trousers, jacket, shirt, coat or basically any piece.
